One of the secrets of the power of Dragons is that they hold a sacred Pearl in their talons when they fly above the firmament.
Dragons have been depicted in many art forms for centuries, especially in China, Japan, and other Asian countries where the Dragon is revered and given an important status in myth, legend, and symbolic traditions. One of my favorites is a carved vase with two Dragons sharing an immense Pearl together.
The Dragon was often considered a Protector and pearls share the ability to protect from environmental poisons and toxins in this regard. The pearl was the Treasure that Dragons knew needed to be sheltered from those who would not comprehend their value.
